• The applicant must apply 和 be accepted as a student at 科林大学 before applying 转到RN转BSN程序.
• Applicants must have a CWID Student Number 和 a 科林大学 email.

Graduate nurses (GN’s may apply 和 be conditionally admitted to the program but must 在开始工作前通过NCLEX考试.  Follow directions to upload a copy of your unencumbered RN license or an enhanced nurse license compact (eNLC) multi-state license.
• Must have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.5对4.0规模.
• Must be within six (6) to eight (8) credit hours of completion of the Texas Common Core Curriculum (at the time of application): All general education courses 和 pre-program 要求 course 工作 must be completed prior to registering for upper division 护理课程.
• Complete an associate degree in nursing 从 an accredited educational institution.

 

Prior to enrollment in upper division nursing courses: Students who will be earning a baccalaureate degree 从 科林大学 must satisfy all course 工作 要求s 德州核心课程. 科林大学 will ensure students transferring into the RN-to-BSN program have completely met the core objectives defined by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, which encompasses the 42-semester credit hour 要求. The RN-to-BSN is a post licensure program designed to prepare the students with an underst和ing of: nursing, health 和 healing, the environment, 和 persons as diverse 个人、家庭、人口和社区.  

The graduate of the 科林大学 RN-to-BSN Program is prepared to: 

• Use clinical reasoning 和 knowledge based on the nursing program of study, evidence-based practice outcomes, 和 research studies as the bases for decision-making 和 comprehensive, 安全的病人和人群护理
• Demonstrate inquiry 和 analysis in applying patient care technologies 和 information systems to support safe nursing practice 和 population risk reduction
• Lead safety 和 quality improvement activities as part of the interdisciplinary team 作为护理的倡导者和管理者
• Manage care transitions 和 promote population risk reduction with diverse communities in collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary health care team

• Demonstrate leadership skills related to financial, human resource, clinical, 和 职业al issues in providing 和 evaluating care
